Benjamin S.L. Wong
Mixer | Foley Artist | Sound Designer
With over 15 years spent staring at waveforms and debating the specific timbre of a door hinge, Ben has managed to turn a professional obsession for sound into an Emmy Award-winning career. He has navigated the diverse demands of feature films, documentaries, and commercials, ensuring that every project has a distinct and immersive auditory identity. He firmly believes that the best sound design is often the kind the audience doesn't consciously notice; which is a convenient philosophy to hold when you’ve spent three hours trying to make dirt sound "cool" for a gardening commercial.
This dedication to the craft extends into his work as an educator, at Community College of Philadelphia, where he translates years of professional troubleshooting into actionable lessons for the next generation of sound designers. By emphasizing that the "soul" of a scene is often hidden within its unheard layers, he helps students navigate the same mixing suites where he has spent a decade and a half refining the craft. Whether he is fine-tuning a feature film or mentoring a new student, Ben remains dedicated to the subtle art of sonic storytelling.
Outside the studio, Ben maintains a disciplined rhythm by participating in dragon boat racing on the Schuylkill River. It is a hobby that provides a refreshing change of pace from the world of post-production, primarily because the stakes for being out of sync involve getting soaked rather than another hour re-exporting mixes. When Ben isn't on the water or in the studio, he is likely at home in Philadelphia, conducting high-level research into the crunch-to-benefit ratio of pear slices for his dog, Panini or trying to find a bowl of pho that he frequently claims is something he could eat for the rest of his life. His approach to sound, dragon boat, and life remains the same: keep the rhythm steady, the textures rich, and the snacks dog-approved.

Dyneil Hobbs
Assistant Engineer | Assistant Dialogue Editor | Junior Sound Designer
Dyneil has been an artist his whole life. He started with illustration at a young age and began exploring a number of mediums, including 3D art, animation, photography, and VFX. Ultimately, he found that he is happiest when telling stories. Realizing his passion for writing and filmmaking, he became a writer-director. He later joined multiple year-long intensives at Big Picture Alliance, a non-profit college alternative for young filmmakers, where he wrote and directed his short film, “nahtE,” which was selected for multiple film festivals. He also co-created multiple short documentaries and completed two year-long apprenticeships, one of which was at Dragonfly Post Audio, where he discovered a strong passion for post audio and sound design.
His additional experience includes editing and shooting content for the William Penn Foundation, editing content for FIFA, teaching himself animation, and managing social media for YSTS, a non-profit that funds and facilitates the creation of youth media.
When he’s not working, he enjoys playing video games, hiking, writing, and going to the movie theater—he lives there—and he dreams of one day contributing to the Silent Hill franchise in any creative capacity.
Recently, he has been leaning toward the things he loved as a child like animating and creating solo content. His goal is to explore immersive storytelling through animation, video essays, editing, and sound design. He’d aims to have a limited series on Adult Swim, start a YouTube channel, and continue exploring how sound can be used to elevate and enhance storytelling.
